Perpetual Memorials

Perpetual Memorials

These pages have been created for those of our members who would find solace in a specifically created place of remembrance, where much-loved cats who have left us can have a permanent memorial within the Club's website.

Members' beloved Siamese companions who enriched their lives and left such indelible memories deserve to be honoured here by the addition of their cat's photograph, brief details and personal words of dedication in tribute.  Images fade in our memories over time and bringing a loved one's face to mind can become less clear, so too our companion cats' images, which have been so dear, can also fade and blur with time.

With the availability of these pages we hope to offer a place for a permanent memorial in recognition of the years of happiness and affection these beautiful, elegant felines gave their owners and an acknowledgement of the part they have played in our lives.

In addition they will be continuing to play an important part in the life of the Club by contributing to the invaluable archive of photographs that will eventually be collected as they are added to the memorials over the years.

TO A SIAMESE CAT*
      (June 1930 – December 1942)

I shall walk in the sun alone
Whose golden light you loved:
I shall sleep alone
And, stirring, touch an empty place:
I shall write uninterrupted
(Would that your gentle paw
Could stay my moving pen just once again!).

 I shall see beauty
But none to match your living grace:
I shall hear music
But not so sweet as the droning song
With which you loved me.

I shall fill my days
But I shall not, cannot forget:
Sleep soft, dear friend,
For while I live you shall not die
